- Finished up my TWW Miter Station and it's now in use! 8 foot to the left of the blade, and 4 feet to the right. Used Baltic birch (two 3/4' pieces sandwiched together) for the tops, with Mahogany trim around the tops and doors. Walnut trim on the saw table, and solid Birch for the drawer fronts.
- This my take on the Jay Bates mitersaw station. #mitersaw #miterstation #workshop #cabinets Lots of storage was my main objective and cabinets would have been the quick and cheap solution.
- It was slightly warped and caused the right side wall of the cabinet to be slightly higher than the left! Had to do a little “adjustment” on the wall height. I also decided to keep my existing Dewalt compound miter saw instead of buying the new Bosch gliding miter saw (although I did make the section holding the saw 2 1/2″ wider to.
I really enjoyed this project, although I will never again use plywood that I had left over from a previous project; I used it for the large bottom piece. It was slightly warped and caused the right side wall of the cabinet to be slightly higher than the left! Had to do a little “adjustment” on the wall height. I also decided to keep my existing Dewalt compound miter saw instead of buying the new Bosch gliding miter saw (although I did make the section holding the saw 2 1/2″ wider to accommodate the Bosch in the future).
